Bihar School News: There is big news for the children studying in government schools of Bihar. Bihar Education Department will no longer pay for the dress. The department has made it clear that now students will be given dresses in exchange for money. The education department has also floated a tender for the supply of dresses.
Sitamarhi: About a dozen schemes are being run at the level of Bihar Education Department in the interest of children. One of these schemes is the Dress Scheme. Under this, amount of clothing is provided to children class wise and category wise. Meanwhile, the Education Department has taken an important decision regarding this scheme. This decision is in the interest of children and their parents. However, this decision will definitely be distasteful to those few parents who were not able to get their children’s dresses stitched after receiving the dress money. They used to spend the amount of the dress on some other item. In fact, the department has now decided to provide uniforms instead of giving money.
Bad condition of the project on ground
The beginning of the dress scheme is the contribution of CM Nitish Kumar. This scheme was started in the year 2018. The government had better and far-reaching thinking behind implementing this scheme, but it could not be implemented 100 percent on the ground. The government’s thinking was that children of government schools should also come to school in dress. In this sequence, it came to light that even today children of rural areas come from economically weak families and it would be difficult for their parents to get dresses stitched. This means that this will be a different financial burden on the parents. Considering all these things, the government had implemented this scheme to provide financial help to the parents in getting their children’s dresses stitched.
Even 50 percent children are not in uniform
Even today, 50 percent of the children in schools do not come in uniform, even though they have received money for the uniform. Such a situation is especially seen in schools in rural areas. Neither the teacher cares whether the children come in dress nor the parents pay any attention. Many parents do not even understand the usefulness of the money spent on clothes and spend the money on other items. Due to the provision of giving cash, there are irregularities on a large scale. This is not hidden from anyone. Due to this disturbance, action has already been taken against many head teachers in the district. However, now the department has decided to provide only dresses from the new session. A tender has been floated for this. Additional Secretary of the Education Department, Subodh Kumar Choudhary has set the last date for contractors to participate in the tender for the supply of dresses till April 24.
How much amount do children get?
Under the Dress Scheme, Rs 1500 is given to high school girl students from classes 9 to 12. Here, SC-ST, BPL students and all girl students of classes one and two are paid Rs 600, while all APL students are paid Rs 400. At the rate of Rs 600 to all SC-ST BPL students of class 3 to 5, Rs 700 to all girl students and Rs 500 to all APL students, Rs 700 to all SC-ST BPL students of class 6 to 8. , Uniform amount is given at the rate of Rs 1000 to all girl students and Rs 700 to APL students. The special thing is that the benefit of this scheme is available only to the children who have registered 75 attendance.
