Winter Vacation: Due to cold wave in North India, winter holidays have been declared in schools in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab. Know where and when schools will open.
School Holiday: In view of the increasing effect of cold in Delhi-NCR, the government has announced to keep the schools closed from January 1, 2025 to January 15, 2025. At present, schools are operating in hybrid mode, but if the situation becomes more serious, there may be changes in the dates of holidays. This step has been taken keeping in mind the safety of children and the effect of cold.
In view of the outbreak of cold wave in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has declared holiday in all primary schools from 31 December 2024 to 14 January 2025. This order will be applicable to government and private schools in all districts including Noida, Ghaziabad. The Education Department has taken this decision giving priority to the safety of children.
Schools will remain closed in Rajasthan till January 5
The School Education Department in Rajasthan has declared winter holidays in all government schools from 25 December 2024 to 5 January 2025. However, in view of the severe cold, these holidays can be extended. Similarly, in Punjab, it has already been announced to keep the schools closed from 24 December to 31 December 2024. In view of the increasing effect of cold, the duration of holidays is likely to increase here too.
Winter holidays in Haryana from 1 to 15 January
The Haryana government has also announced winter holidays in schools from 1 January 2025 to 15 January 2025. The effect of cold and fog is continuously increasing in the state, due to which this decision was taken keeping in mind the safety of the children.
Holidays declared in Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh too
Government schools in Jharkhand will open on 6 January 2025, while winter holidays have been declared in Madhya Pradesh from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025. In view of the increasing outbreak of cold, the duration of holidays may increase here too.
