800 government schools are going to be closed in Haryana. The government has also issued an order for this. However, the government has asked all the children studying in these to be shifted to nearby schools.
Elders have said that schools are temples of education and the Haryana government has decided to close these temples of education. According to the information, about 800 schools in different districts will be closed by the state government. This decision is worrying. However, the state government’s reasoning behind closing it has been that the number of children studying in these schools is less or the number of children in the school is only 20 or less.
More than 8000 children are studying
According to the information received, about 8000 children are enrolled in these schools, who will now be shifted to their nearest government schools. Earlier, the Education Department had asked for a list of such schools where less than 20 students are studying. After this, now the Khattar government has decided to close them. If statistics are to be believed, there are about 832 such schools in Haryana. Earlier, the department had asked to shift these children to schools at a distance of up to one kilometer, but since the distance of some children’s schools is more than 1 kilometer, discussions will be held as to how to provide them transport facilities to go to school. Should it be done and whether they will be shifted or not.
Politics of hot state
Here, politics has also become heated regarding this entire matter. The opposition has raised many questions regarding this decision of the government. According to the information, there are many schools in the state where there is shortage of teachers. For this reason children do not take admission in those schools. Due to these reasons, the number of students in these schools has come down to less than 20.
