Delhi Schools Closed: Due to floods in Delhi, schools will remain closed tomorrow and on July 18 as well. This order has been issued by the Education Department of Delhi. The Delhi government has said that in view of the floods, relief camps are likely to continue in the schools in the areas adjacent to the Yamuna river. That’s why schools will be closed.
Delhi Schools Closed: There is an important news for the children studying in the schools of the national capital Delhi. Schools in the flood-hit districts of Delhi will remain closed for two more days. The Delhi government has issued instructions to government, government-aided and private schools to keep schools closed on 17 and 18 July. The Delhi government has said that in view of the floods, relief camps are likely to continue in the schools in the areas adjacent to the Yamuna river. As per the order, schools in East, North East, North West-A, North, Central and South East districts of Delhi will remain closed.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had earlier issued an order on July 13 and instructed to keep the school closed till July 16. However, the instructions issued later were only for those areas of the national capital where water was filling up.
Broken record of rain in Delhi
It is raining continuously in different parts of the country. The rain record of the last four decades has been broken in Delhi. Regarding this, the state government had earlier this week ordered all schools to be closed on July 10. The next day i.e. on Tuesday, July 11, the schools were kept closed for the students from Nursery to 5th standard.
