Schools Holiday: Haryana Board has released the list of holidays for August. Students will get a total of 10 days off including Saturday and Sunday. The government has also released the list of holidays for the last week of July. According to the notification, apart from two Sundays – 21 and 28 July, there will also be a holiday on Udham Singh Martyrdom Day on 31 July. Check the list of school holidays in August in the state:
August 4: Sunday
August 7: Hariyali Teej
August 10: Second Saturday
August 11: Sunday
August 15: Independence Day
August 16: Compensatory holiday declared
August 18: Sunday
August 19: Rakshabandhan
August 25: Sunday
August 26: Janmashtami
Meanwhile, Karnataka and Kerala have witnessed heavy rains this week. Uttara Kannada district deputy commissioner (DC) Laxmipriya had already declared a holiday for all schools and PU colleges in Karwar, Ankola, Kumta, Honnavar, Bhatkal, Sirsi, Siddapur, Yellapur, Dandeli and Joida taluks on Monday, citing the ‘red alert’ issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
