Schools Holiday Extended: North India is facing the double blow of severe cold and cold wave, in view of which holiday was declared in schools in many states. Due to the severe cold, a decision has been taken to extend the holidays of schools and colleges in Uttar Pradesh, while the reporting time of schools has been changed in many districts. Earlier, holidays were declared in the schools of UP till January 10.

Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur District Magistrate Krishna Karunesh, keeping in mind the health of the students due to cold and cold wave, has declared holiday from January 11 to January 13 in all the schools of all boards running in the district from 11th to 13th January. However, in schools where practical or pre-board examinations are being conducted, the examination will be conducted by making the students sit in the class and not outside in the open. Apart from this, it has also been ordered that wherever possible, school management can start online classes.

Baliya

In Ballia, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Singh has declared holiday till January 14 in all schools up to 8th. Besides, instructions have also been given that the order should be strictly followed, action will be taken against those disobeying the order and rules under the School Operation Act.

Noida-Greater Noida

Here, holiday has already been declared till January 14 in all the schools up to 8th class. The havoc of cold has increased in Noida also. District Magistrate Gautam Buddha Nagar had ordered to extend school holidays.

Saharanpur

Due to severe cold and cold wave in Saharanpur, school holidays have been extended till January 16. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra has closed all the schools including secondary government, non-government, aided, CBSE, CISCE, non-funded, Madarsa Board till January 16 due to fog, cold wave and cold.

Lucknow

In the capital Lucknow, school holidays have once again been extended due to cold. Schools from 1st to 8th in Lucknow will now remain closed till 13th January. Whereas the timing of schools from 9th to 12th is from 10 am to 3 pm. Apart from this, schools in Varanasi and Prayagraj have opened from today but their timings are from 10 am.
