Waymo’s self-driving car decided to leave on its own before the aid team arrived after being stuck in traffic.
In a new video, an automatic car gets stuck in an intersection. This video is from the US which is becoming very viral. Waymo, Google’s self-driving car unit, sent technicians to get the car out of there. But before they reached there, the car itself decided to leave. Then took off. It continued on the road going through the pandemonium as if it had become stray. Then it stopped at a halt a few meters ahead and it blocked the three-lane road.
A YouTuber named Joel Johnson, who posts videos under JJRicks Studios, recorded the entire incident and posted it online. He was inside this automated vehicle at that time. The video showed that the car had to take a right turn on the multi-layered road but could not do so due to some orange safety cones and the incident happened. Finally, a member of the support team went inside the car and then completed the ride safely.
Many people have commented on this video. They also include a YouTube user Ned Shanibali. He has written a fictional conversation between Johnson and Waymo Assistance. This sarcastic comment is underlined by Johnson at the top. It has been written that the car behaved like this because it wanted to record its ride.
The user, named Shane of Canada, wrote, “This is so unique, I’ve never seen a robot in an anxiety attack.”
At the same time, Uchendu Nwachuku wrote, “I am surprised that the rider support did not ask the car to stay in its place until assistance arrives.”
Another user lhamil64 wrote, “Very interesting situation. I think it didn’t need to be resolved by itself until help had arrived. It looks quite silly that they were inside the car and the car Decided to walk from there. “
