The makers of Shakuntalam have released the trailer of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan starrer film. Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha has also been shown in an important role in the trailer. The trailer begins with birds carrying a child, helmed by Gunasekhar.
New Delhi: Shaakuntalam Trailer: The makers of Shakuntalam have released the trailer of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan starrer film. Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha has also been shown in an important role in the trailer. The trailer begins with birds carrying a child, helmed by Gunasekhar. And in the background, we can see the baby girl Shakuntala i.e. Samantha, who was born to Menaka and Vishwamitra. In the trailer, he tells that Shakuntala was born with a purpose. In the next scene, the trailer introduces King Dushyant (Dev Mohan), who falls in love with Shakuntala when he first sees her in the forest.
In the rest of the trailer, Shakuntala’s life seems to be full of difficulties after the curse of sage Durvasa. King Dushyant has forgotten her love for Shakuntala. At the end of the trailer, the makers introduced Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha as Shakuntala and Dushyant’s son Bharat. In the scene, Chhota Bharat is riding on the back of a lion.
This mythological play is based on Kalidasa’s Abhijnana Shakuntalam. The story revolves around the love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant of Mahabharata. The film also stars Kabir Bedi, Prakash Raj, Sachin Khedekar, Jishu Sengupta, Dr. M Mohan Babu, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in lead roles.
Shakuntalam will be released on February 17, 2023 in Telugu Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Earlier, the film was scheduled to release on November 4 last year, but the makers pushed the film ahead of its scheduled release date to release it in 3D.
