New Delhi: Karthik Aryan’s film Shehzada is releasing in theaters on February 17. Only two days are left and Kartik has thrown all her might into its promotions. From social media to city-to-city, he is promoting the film among the fans.
Not only Karthik, the eyes of the entire industry are set on Shehzada. However, in terms of advance bookings, the film seems to be lagging behind Hollywood’s Ant-Man And The Wasp – Quantummania, indicating that the audience is waiting for Ant-Man 3 more.
Antman 3 to 50 thousand tickets behind Shehzada
Advance booking of Shehzada started from Sunday. Till 10.30 am on Wednesday, only a little over 7,000 tickets for the film have been booked for the first day. At the same time, the number of advance tickets for Antman 3 has crossed 57 thousand for the first day, which means Shehzada is trailing by 50 thousand tickets. This figure is for only three multiplex chains PVR Cinemas, Inox and Cinepolis.
It is important to make it clear here that Shehzada is a mass entertainer film, a large number of its audience go to watch the film in single screen cinemas. Whereas, Antman 3 is mainly a multiplex or metro film. In such a situation, the correct picture of Shehzada’s opening collections will be revealed only after the release of the film, but it is certain that the film is lagging behind in the initial trends.
Shahzada was promoted at India Gate
Karthik is promoting the film in full swing and is leaving no stone unturned to take it to the audience. Recently he promoted the film at Delhi’s India Gate, where he directly reached the audience. Kartik also danced with the fans present on the title track of Shahzada.
Earlier, Karthik promoted the film in Agra, Uttar Pradesh and got a photoshoot done in front of the Taj Mahal with heroine Kriti Sanon.
Karthik has become a dependable star
In the recent past, Karthik Aryan has created a strong fan following for herself, on the basis of which he has become a reliable actor at the box office. In the year 2022, Karthik’s film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was among the top grossers and it gave stability to the continuously failing Bollywood.
Directed by Varun Dhawan’s elder brother Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada is an official remake of the Telugu hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which featured Allu Arjun in the lead. Karthik’s heroine in Shehzada is Kriti Sanon. The film was earlier scheduled to release on February 10, but was pushed a week ahead due to Pathan’s collections.
