This proposal has been implemented in the state since the Family Pension Act 1976. At the same time, by amending the pension rules on 28 April 2011 in the case of its employees, the eligibility of giving pension to unmarried daughter, widow and abandoned daughter has been increased. Highlights of the proposal-

1- Unmarried daughters should be removed from the age limit of 25 years. Until the daughter gets married, she gets family pension.

2- In case of widowed daughter, as long as she survives, the family pension should be brought under the purview. However, for this, the mother or father will have to give the name of the widowed daughter while alive. But on getting married again, this pension will be discontinued.

3. In case of disabled sons and daughters, no age limit should be kept for family pension. This has been said because the age of receiving pension in the case of son has been kept at 18 years.
