Shivraj Singh Chauhan declares- We will make Madhya Pradesh a liquor-free state

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on Saturday that his government wants to ban alcohol. For this, he has appealed people to cooperate in it. During this, he also administered a pledge to the people present there to assist in de-addiction. Explain that earlier the state government has also prohibited the sale of liquor on the banks of river Narmada and in holy cities.

Addressing a program in Katni, the Chief Minister said that we want to make Madhya Pradesh an alcohol-free state. This will not be accomplished by just banning alcohol. If people consume alcohol then they will bring the alcohol from anywhere. For this, we will run an alcohol-free campaign so that people stop consuming alcohol. For this, we have to take a pledge.




The Chief Minister announced that in the next three years, clean drinking water will be supplied to every village house in Katni district through drains. He said that poor people will be provided with money to build pucca houses. Apart from this, there are free treatment facilities up to Rs 5 lakh for about 3,25,000 Ayushman card holders.

Inaugurating a project in Katni, the Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is the first government to announce death penalty for misconduct with the daughters of the state. 50 girls have been rescued under the Muskan campaign in Katni. 37 have been sentenced so far, two have filed mercy petitions.
