No change in domestic LPG cylinder
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the country’s largest oil marketing company, has given a blow to inflation to commercial consumers. The price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been increased. Commercial LPG cylinder prices have been increased by Rs 190 per cylinder. At the same time, domestic LPG cylinders have given relief to consumers. Earlier last month, the oil marketing company had increased the price of domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 100 per cylinder twice. The company first raised Rs 50 on December 2 and thereafter again raised it to Rs 50 on December 15.

Review is done on monthly basis
LPG prices in India are fixed by oil companies and are reviewed on a monthly basis. Almost all households in India have LPG connection and are mainly used for cooking. Under the Ujjwala scheme, 8 crore people in the country get the benefit of gas cylinder subsidy. Experts are saying that in most metros the subsidy is almost gone.
