The Telecom Ministry has given instructions to block the SIM cards of those people who have more than 9 SIM cards.
According to the report of ET, there are about 27 lakh people in Bihar in whose name more than 9 SIM cards are running. If you also have more than 9 SIM cards, then you need to be alert. It is being told that these numbers have been identified by the Telecom Department.
Users will have to do this work
People who have more than 9 SIM cards have been given 90 days time for now. Users will have to tell the telecom company within 90 days that which numbers they want to keep active. If the users do not inform the telecom department about the active numbers, then the company will randomly close the numbers after 9 SIM cards. There are also reports that there are some people who have more than 100-200 SIM cards active in their name.

Till a few years ago, there was no restriction on buying a SIM card. Anyone could buy any number of SIM cards, but now this is not the case at all. 24 lakh SIM cards of private companies
It is being told that out of the 27 lakh numbers that have been selected for blocking, about 24 lakh SIM cards belong to private companies. At the same time, the number of SIM cards of the government company i.e. BSNL is about 3 lakh. All private and government companies have been informed about this action, now the companies will have to give this information to their customers.
