Six day blackout period in income department, taxpayers will not get date

There are instructions to give no date to the taxpayers from June 1 to 6 due to the new e-filing portal being implemented in the Income Tax Department from June 7. The new portal will be more convenient than the previous one and will do all the tasks easily.


Kanpur, For the new e-filing portal, the Income Tax Department will close its portal from June 1 to June 6. After this, the new portal will be implemented from June 7. Income tax authorities have also been asked not to give any date between these six days to taxpayers in any case. Also, any date should be kept only after 10 June. Many tasks are being done online in the Income Tax Department at this time.

In the past, the department was feeling the need of a new portal in view of the things that the department has started online. Therefore, a new e-filing portal is being brought. For this, the portal currently functioning from June 1 to June 6 will be completely closed and a new e-filing portal will start from June 7. No work will be done during these six days.


The department considers it to be a black out period. According to tax consultant Santosh Gupta, the capacity in the new e-filing portal will also be increased, which will increase its speed and speed up working. According to CA Sudhir Nigam, this new portal will be quite convenient for taxpayers. This will allow returns and answers in a very convenient way.
