Vande Bharat: Railways is preparing to present the sleeper variant of Vande Bharat to the passengers in the first 100 days of the new government. With the entry of the new Vande Bharat, the journey of passengers will become more comfortable.

Vande Bharat News: Amidst the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, Indian Railways is going to undergo a big change. There are reports that within 100 days of the new government, many big schemes have been prepared including new variant of Vande Bharat Express, progress in the trial run of Bullet Train. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also told RBI i.e. Reserve Bank of India that ‘Dhamadham’ is going to work immediately after the elections.

New Vande Bharat is coming

Indian Railways is preparing to present the sleeper variant of Vande Bharat train to the passengers in the first 100 days of the new government. With the entry of this new Vande Bharat, the journey of passengers will become more comfortable. The reason for this will be the convenience of sleeping. At present, passengers of Vande Bharat travel in chair cars.

Currently, the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai is working on sleeper variants of Vande Bharat Express. Once these come on tracks, long distance journeys will also become possible. Railways’ plans also include procurement of rolling stock. The Economic Times report quoted officials as saying that the Railways will make this purchase for the trial run of the bullet train by August 2026.

Important rail link in Kashmir

Railways is also preparing to complete the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL). This rail link will connect Kashmir with other parts of the country. At present, passengers have to go till Katra in Jammu, but rail travel is not possible till Srinagar. It is being said that this link will cost more than Rs 37 thousand crore.
