New Delhi: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has denied reports of a non-bailable warrant being issued in an alleged cheating case and termed it as a publicity stunt by the person making the allegation. Sonakshi said that a stay has already been received from the Allahabad High Court in this matter. Their legal team is taking necessary steps to file a contempt of court and defamation claim against the person making the allegation.
In a statement sent to the media by Sonakshi Sinha’s team, it has been said- “There have been reports in the media for some time that a non-bailable warrant has been issued against me, which has not been confirmed. This is completely fictional and is being done by a man to harass me. I request all the media houses, journalists not to publish this fake news, as it is an agenda of one person to get publicity.
This person is definitely trying to gain publicity and want to extort money from me by attacking my hard earned reputation built by years of hard work by publishing such malicious articles in the media. Please don’t be a part of this sequence of harassment.
The matter is sub judice in Moradabad Court and Allahabad High Court has given a stay on it. My legal team is taking all necessary steps against the person for causing contempt of court and defaming me. This is my only statement till the Moradabad court’s decision, so don’t approach me for this. I am at home and assure that no warrant has been issued against me.” Sonakshi has also shared the statement in the Instagram story.
