Christmas/New Year Trains: To provide relief to the passengers on the occasion of Christmas and New Year, Central Railway is running 14 festive special trains.
Christmas/New Year Trains: Indian Railways runs more than 10 thousand passenger trains every day. Crores of passengers travel in it, but during festivals and holidays the crowd in the trains increases further. In such a situation, Railways is continuously working for the passengers. To control crowding in trains during Christmas and New Year holidays, Central Railway is running 14 special trains between Panvel and Madgaon. Let’s see the complete list of these vehicles.
Special trains are running on these routes
01427/01428 Panvel-Madgaon-Panvel Special (12 Service)
- 01427 Panvel-Madgaon Jn. The special will depart Panvel at 21.10 hrs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 22.12.2023 to 31.12.2023 (6 services) and reach Madgaon Junction at 6.50 hrs the next day.
- 01428 Madgaon-Panvel special will depart from Madgaon Junction at 8.00 hrs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 22.12.2023 to 31.12.2023 (6 trips) and reach Panvel at 20.15 hrs on the same day.
This train will stop at Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali en route. In which 22 coaches are as follows – 6 air-conditioned 3-tier, 4 sleeper class, 12 general second class which also includes guard brake van.
01429/01430 Panvel-Madgaon-Panvel New Year Special (2 Service)
- 01430 Madgaon-Panvel New Year Special (A Service) will depart from Madgaon Junction at 21.00 hrs on 01.01.2024 and reach Panvel at 07.20 hrs the next day.
- 01429 Panvel-Madgaon Jn. New Year Special will depart from Panvel at 8.20 hrs on 02.01.2024 (one service) and reach Madgaon Junction at 21.30 hrs on the same day.
