Gauri Khan on Star Wife: Gauri Khan, wife of interior designer and superstar Shahrukh Khan, revealed in one of her interviews that the word ‘star wife’ has driven her crazy. Gauri Khan revealed this in an interview to Hindustan Times, in which producer-director producer Karan Johar was also involved with her. When Gauri was asked about her being a ‘star wife’, Gauri called it strange and said that she wants people to treat her like a normal person. At the same time, speaking about her work, Gauri Khan said that when she designs a place, she wanted people to feel that what she saw is the best.
Gauri is fed up with the name Star Wife
In the interview, Gauri Khan said, ‘This word (ster wife) drives me crazy. This sounds very strange. If people can consider me as a normal person, then instead of giving the tag of star wife, take me as the woman of today. I am not projecting myself to anyone nor am I too ambitious. All I have to do is wake up in the morning, go to the gym, feel healthy, go to work, be creative and wait for the kids to come back home.

Apart from this, Gauri said- ‘I want to do very good work. I can’t become a world famous designer because I started working too late. But it is never too late to do anything in life. When I design a space, I want it to be the best home or office. When people walk into my store, they say it’s the best store they’ve seen. Everything I touch turns into gold. I have a goal which is getting fulfilled and today I feel like a complete woman.

Along with this, Gauri Khan has also designed a party room for the house of Nita and Mukesh Ambani. Gauri’s name was in the list of most powerful women of Fortune India a few years back.
