Students studying in 5th and 8th can now be failed. This new rule will come into effect soon. Let us know why this rule has been changed.
Students New Rukes: Under the new rules issued by the Ministry of Education, students of class 5th and 8th can now be failed if they fail in the annual examination. After this, they will be given a chance to take the examination again within two months. If they are unable to succeed in this examination also, then they will not be promoted to the next class. This new provision is a change in the already implemented system, where students up to class 8th were promoted to the next class without examination.

Due to this system, the level of school education kept falling continuously. Due to which the results of the board examinations of class 10th and 12th also started coming bad.
When will it be implemented?
With the new change, the state governments will now get the right to conduct board examinations in class 5th and 8th if they want. In the order issued by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, a notification has been issued in this regard, which will be identified as ‘Right to Free Compulsory Child Education Amendment Rules 2024’. These rules have come into force with immediate effect after being published in the official gazette.
