Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Friday showed his attitude to the party’s top leadership. Taking a fresh decision of the Uttarakhand government, he said that the party will be openly critical of the issues. He also criticized Amit Shah for saying that during the presidential tenure of Gadkari and Rajnath Singh, there used to be talk on the party forum, but things have changed after Amit Shah became the president.
Tirath Singh Rawat’s decision welcomed
Actually, Swami said this while welcoming the decision of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat. Rawat has announced a reversal of a major decision of his predecessor, CM Trivendra Singh Rawat.
51 temples including Badri, Kedar to be free from government control
Chief Minister Rawat has said that Kedarnath, Badrinath and 51 major temples of the state will be freed from government control. Swamy supported his decision and said that this is the reason that BJP’s future is better than the rest of the parties.
Ban on sale of liquor in Haridwar
Earlier, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat said in Haridwar that the government would reconsider the Devasthanam board. Also, 51 temples included in the board will be freed from government control. He also announced a complete ban on liquor sales in Kumbhanagri.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the meeting of the Central Road Auditorium of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad at the Akhand Param Dham Ashram in Bhupatwala, Haridwar on Friday. He said that the government will seriously reconsider the Devasthanam board.
At present, 51 temples included in the board will be freed. Soon the meeting of the pilgrimage priests of the four dhams will also be called and the government will not allow their authority to be snatched away. The system which has been established since ancient times by the Shankaracharyas will be followed. There will be no tampering, nor will there be any reduction in the rights of anyone.
