This scheme has become a boon for parents who want to save money for the future of girls. If you save in this scheme every month, you will get good returns in the long run. Interest is also high in this scheme. Due to this, the number of people joining this scheme is high.

But those in the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana scheme must be theirsAadhaar Number,PAN No should be linked. This is a new rule brought by the central government. If the PAN number and Aadhaar number are not linked to the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account, there is a possibility that the account will be frozen. This rule applies not only to the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana scheme but also to small savings schemes like Public Provident Fund and Senior Citizen Saving Scheme.

As per the notification dated 31st March 2023 by the Union Finance Ministry, there have been changes in the KYC norms regarding small amount savings schemes. Earlier Aadhaar number was not mandatory to join these savings schemes. According to the new rules, Aadhaar number or Aadhaar enrollment number is mandatory to enroll in these savings schemes.

All those in small savings schemes should submit their Aadhaar number by September 30, 2023. Those who have given Aadhaar number while joining this savings scheme need not submit their Aadhaar again. But giving one Aadhaar number is not enough to join these schemes. PAN number is also mandatory to keep money beyond the limit imposed by the government.

In any case of these savings schemes, if the balance exceeds Rs.50 thousand, if money is deposited in one account more than Rs.1 lakh in one financial year or if more than Rs.10 thousand is withdrawn or transferred from one account in One month, PAN number should be submitted. Those who do not have PAN number must take PAN card. Or submit Form 60. If the PAN number is not submitted, the account will be frozen.

Newly enrolling in small savings schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PPF, Senior Citizen Saving Scheme must give their Aadhaar number. If the Aadhaar number is not given while opening the account, the Aadhaar number should be submitted within six months.
