Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana: Under this scheme, an account has to be opened in the name of the daughter and a certain amount has to be deposited in that account annually.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana: The central government runs many schemes to secure the future of daughters. One of the schemes is Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY). Under this scheme, an account has to be opened in the name of the daughter and a certain amount has to be deposited in that account annually. Under this scheme, the government gives huge interest which can be withdrawn at the time of maturity. However, in the meantime, the news of many people’s accounts being frozen is also coming to the fore. Let us know what are those mistakes which people should avoid repeating.

What to do so that the account does not freeze?

Those who invest in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana should know that the government has made Aadhaar-PAN link mandatory. Due to this minor mistake, the news of account freeze is coming out. Apart from this, the Finance Ministry had issued a notification saying that it is necessary to submit PAN or Form 60 while opening an account for investment. All accounts opened under this scheme will have to be linked after March 31 by submitting Aadhaar and PAN related information to the post office. The last date for submission of Aadhaar and PAN is September 2023. Although it is believed that the government can extend this date, but there is no problem later, so you are advised to get it linked before the due date.
