Every child studying in Delhi will have a question about summer vacations, which is natural. Delhi Directorate of Education has announced it.
The heat in the country is now rising very fast. The children studying in the school are eagerly waiting for their summer vacation. In such a situation, there is a good news for the children studying in Delhi schools. The Directorate of Education, Delhi i.e. DOE has released the annual school calendar for the academic session 2025-26. It gives details of the admission and holiday schedule. A circular has been issued in this regard. According to the circular issued, the academic session started on April 1 and it is the official start of the new school year in government and government-aided schools in Delhi.
Summer holidays and winter holidays
- Summer holidays will start from May 11 and end on June 30. However, teachers will have to report to schools from June 28.
- Autumn holidays will be from September 29 to October 1, while winter holidays will be from January 1 to 15.
The circular states that “planned admissions” for classes 6 to 9 will be held from April 1 to June 30. However, “non-planned admissions” will be held in three phases and registration for these will also be done in three corresponding phases. Apart from this, the circular also states that entrances under the Right to Education (RTI) Act for classes 6 to 8 will continue throughout the year at the school level.
