For more than two and a half months, farmers’ movement has been going on continuously on different boundaries of Delhi. After the violence in Delhi on 26 January, this issue has become a part of a big discussion abroad as well. Many foreign celebrities have not only reacted to the peasant movement, but there is a continuous round of statements about this too within the country.
Recently, Hollywood’s popular pop star Rihanna had tweeted a tweet that why people are not talking about the peasant movement. After this, celebrities from different regions of the country gave their response. Most of the stars had tweeted in support of the Indian government and called Rihanna’s statement a part of propaganda.
No foreigner has the right to speak in our case – Sunil
At the same time, Sunil Lahiri, who played Laxman in the famous TV serial Ramayana, took Rihanna in the middle of this whole episode. Sunil Lahiri has expressed his displeasure over Rihanna’s tweet and has given him a befitting reply. Regarding this, Sunil Lahiri wrote that Rihanna or any foreign person does not have the right to interfere in the internal affairs of our country. The farmers’ movement is the personal issue of our country. People of India are able to solve their problems on their own.

Apart from this, Arun Govil, who played the role of Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, also gave his reaction to the peasant movement. Arun Govil expressed strong displeasure over the violence on 26 January in Delhi. He called this whole incident as shameful and called it a fatal agenda of foreign forces.
