Instructions to Integral Coach Factory Chennai to make 2 trains
The Ministry of Railways has directed the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai to develop 2 high speed trains, which are capable of achieving a speed of 250 km. The Railway Board gave this instruction on June 4, the day of the results of the Lok Sabha elections. This plan is part of the production scheme for the financial year 2024-25. The body of these high speed trains will be made of steel. Their top speed will be 250 km per hour and running speed will be 220 km per hour. They will be made on standard gauge.
New trains will be made on Vande Bharat platform, preparations for export also
According to railway officials, these trains will be made on Vande Bharat platform. This will also increase the speed of Vande Bharat Express. These trains will have 8 coaches. Since last year, the railways has been developing a test track in Rajasthan for testing standard gauge trains. Testing of these high speed trains will be possible here. Since standard gauge is used all over the world. In such a situation, a plan is being made to develop the Vande Bharat train running on broad gauge in standard gauge itself so that they can also be exported easily.
