Supreme Court : Hearing on January 11 in Supreme Court on Farmer Movement and Agricultural Laws

The petitions related to the new Farms Laws and the demonstration of farmers running on the borders of Delhi will be heard on January 11 in the Supreme Court.

New Delhi: Farmers Protest against the new agriculture laws has been going on for more than a month and the farmers are living on all the boundaries of Delhi. So far, 7 rounds of negotiations have been held between the government and the farmers, but no consensus has been reached. In such a situation, everyone’s eye is on the Supreme Court.

Hearing will be held on January 11 in the Supreme Court

Petitions related to the new farm laws brought by the central government and the performance of farmers running on the borders of Delhi will be heard in the Supreme Court on January 11. The Supreme Court on Wednesday postponed the hearing and said that all the petitions of the farmers movement and agricultural laws will be heard simultaneously on January 11.




The Supreme Court, while hearing a petition filed on behalf of a lawyer, said on Wednesday that we are understanding the situation of farmers. In this petition, the lawyer has demanded the abolition of the three laws brought by the central government.

The farmers threatened to intensify the movement

Farmers Protest protesting against agricultural laws have threatened to intensify the demonstration. However, due to bad weather, farmers postponed the ‘tractor march’ on Wednesday and postponed it for January 7. He said that he will intensify his movement in the coming days.

8th round of talks to be held on 8 January

The seventh round of talks between the government and farmer organizations on Monday was also inconclusive. Farmers’ organizations remained adamant on the demand for complete repeal of the laws in the meeting, while the government wanted to discuss the points with the loopholes of the laws. The next round of talks between the farmers and the government will be held on 8 January.
