Patna: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi passed away on Monday night. Sushil Modi was one of the senior BJP leaders of Bihar. He was 72 years old. He was suffering from cancer for the last few months. He had cancer in his throat. He was undergoing treatment at Delhi AIIMS. He breathed his last there. The news of Sushil Modi’s demise caused a wave of mourning in Bihar politics. Many senior leaders of Bihar BJP expressed grief over his demise and termed it as an irreparable loss. According to family members, his mortal remains will be brought to his residence in Rajendra Nagar, Patna on Tuesday. His last rites will be performed today.

Samrat Chaudhary confirmed the death of Sushil Modi

Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary gave information about Sushil Modi’s demise by posting it on his social media platform ‘X’. Expressing grief, Samrat Chaudhary wrote, ‘Heartfelt tribute to former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and former Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sushil Kumar Modi ji on his demise. This is an irreparable loss for Bihar BJP.

An irreparable loss for countless workers like me: Vijay Kumar Sinha

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, while posting a post on X, wrote, ‘Senior leader of Bihar BJP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi ji is no more with us. This is an irreparable loss for the entire BJP organizational family as well as countless workers like me. Sinha said, ‘He will always be remembered for his organizational skills, administrative understanding and his deep knowledge of socio-political issues.’ Sinha said that may God give peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family in this hour of grief.
