Taarak Mehta: Actor Gurcharan Singh, who played the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, has been missing for 6 days. Following his father’s complaint, Delhi Police has registered a case of kidnapping and is searching for the 50-year-old actor.
Initial investigation has revealed that the actor was going to get married soon. Not only this, he was also struggling with financial crisis.
Took out Rs 7,000 from ATM and then the phone switched off.
Police said that Gurucharan had withdrawn Rs 7,000 from the ATM on April 22, after which his phone was switched off. His last location was found just a few kilometers away from his house in Palam, Delhi.
Police are scanning the CCTV around the house
Apart from this, the police have also got some CCTV footage from Palam area in which the actor is seen crossing the road with a bag.
Now the police is also scanning the remaining CCTVs located around his house, so that it can be known which route he had taken to reach Delhi Airport.
AICWA appealed
Meanwhile, President and Founder of All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) Suresh Shyamlal Gupta has appealed to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena to resolve this matter as soon as possible. Gupta made this appeal by sharing a video on social media and said that the entire Bollywood and Indian film industry stands with Gurucharan’s family.
No information since 22nd April
Actor Gurcharan Singh left for Mumbai from Delhi on April 22, after which there is no news from him.
In this case, Gurucharan’s father Hargeet Singh had lodged a missing complaint at Palam police station in Delhi on April 25 at 3 pm.
Left the show after dispute with producer
Gurucharan Singh remained a part of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ from its inception till 2013. Later, due to some dispute with producer Asit Modi, he left the show.
However, by then he had become so popular that on public demand the producers had to bring him back in the show. After making a comeback, he did this show for 6 years.
Stayed with parents in Delhi since lockdown
Then in 2020, during the lockdown, he left the show again to take care of his father. After staying away from acting, Gurucharan lives with his parents in Delhi.
