The Tajmahal tree is going to be expensive. After the Agra Development Authority approves the proposal for a board meeting held on Tuesday, tourists going to the main dome of the Taj Mahal will have to buy a ticket of Rs 400.
Also, the entry ticket in the memorial will also be worth 80 rupees. This whip of inflation will fall not only on foreign and SAARC countries tourists. A proposal to increase their ticket rates has also been sent to the government. Not only this, it is proposed to increase the ticket rates for all other monuments except Taj. The increased rates can be implemented from April 1, if approved by the government.
At the 133rd board meeting held at the ADA’s Municipal Corporation’s Smart City Auditorium, Commissioner Amit Gupta said that the ticket for foreign tourists at the Taj Mahal is currently priced at Rs 1300, a proposal has been sent to increase it to Rs 1600. Currently, tickets for tourists from SAARC countries are worth Rs 540, which has been sent to the government to increase the ticket to Rs 740.
He informed that in the increased ticket rates for the three types of tourists, the ADA has proposed to increase the rupees two hundred on the main dome. Till now the ASI used to charge the ticket of the main dome.
The ticket rates of these monuments will also increase
The tickets of the native tourists will increase from 50 to 90 rupees at Agra Fort, 650 from foreigners, it will increase to 1200 rupees and the ticket rates for tourists from SAARC countries will remain unchanged.
On Sikandra, a proposal has been raised to increase the ticket rates from 30 to 50 rupees for domestic tourists, from foreign 310 to 600 and for SAARC countries from 30 to 50 rupees.
In Etmadadoula, a proposal has been raised to increase the tickets for domestic tourists from 30 to 50 rupees, for foreigners from 310 to 600 rupees, and for SAARC countries, the tickets will be increased from 30 to 50 rupees.
In Fatehpur Sikri, the tickets for domestic tourists will be increased from 50 to 80 rupees, foreigners will be increased from 610 to 1200 rupees and the ticket rates of SAARC countries will increase from 50 to 80 rupees.
