The makers have apologized for the Tandava web series. The statement issued by the makers of the web series said, “The cast and crew members of the web series were not intended to hurt the feelings of any person, caste, creed, race, religion or community group.” Under this, there was no intention to offend the honor of any institution, political party or any living or dead person. The cast and crew of Tandava have taken into consideration the objections of the people. If any feelings are hurt by this, then we unconditionally apologize for it.
Meanwhile, Tandava web series has been opposed by many political parties including BJP. Earlier on Sunday, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a notice to OTT platform Amazon seeking a response to the alleged controversial comments in Tandava. Let me tell you that on Monday, BSP Chief Mayawati has also said about Tandava that if there is anything objectionable in it, it should be removed. Any disputed material should be withdrawn to maintain an atmosphere of communal harmony and brotherhood in the country.

Not only this, Congress leader Milind Deora has also expressed some similar opinion. He has not said anything directly about the Tandava web series, but has said the need to prepare rules regarding OTT platforms. He said that we do not support censors, but there should be regulation. Milind Deora tweeted, ‘Though I am against political censorship, I am in favor of maintaining a right system. But like TV broadcasters, a system of regulation must be in place.
