Keeping in view all the needs of the customers, the company has launched the Tiago EV with two battery packs.
The booking of Tiago Electric, the cheapest electric car of Tata Motors, is going to start from today. The company has made many tremendous claims about its first electric hatchback car. In view of the increasing demand for electric vehicles in India, the company is trying to further strengthen its hold in the market. Tata Motors’s Nexon EV and Tigor EV are already in great demand in the market. Now the company has also entered the electric hatchback segment.
Booking starts from today afternoon
The booking of Tata Motors’ Tiago EV will start from today (October 10) at 12 noon. Customers can book Tiago Electric at any authorized Tata Motors dealership or website by depositing a token amount of Rs 21,000. The delivery of this car will start from January 2023. The Tiago EV will be available for test drives from December. The Tiago Electric is based on Ziptron technology.
How much is the price
The price of Tata Tiago EV will range from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh. Due to being the cheapest in the segment of electric car, booking of this car can be seen fiercely. The cabin of the Tiago Electric is very similar to the ICE version of the Tiago. It will get leather finishing steering wheel and seats. The gear lever has been replaced with a rotary dial to select the drive mode and there is also a sports mode.
Battery pack option
Keeping in view all the needs of the customers, the company has launched the Tiago EV with two battery packs. The Tiago EV is offered with multiple charging options including IP67 rated battery pack and 24kWh battery pack. The company claims that the Tiago EV will have a range of 315 km with the 24kWh battery pack. Tata Motors has also introduced the Tiago EV with a battery pack of 19.2kWh. The range of the car with this battery pack is said to be 250 km. The company said that the motor and battery will come with a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 kms.
How long will it take to charge?
The company has said that in order to meet the expectations of the customers and based on the insights, the 24kWh battery pack variant has been given priority on the production front. Both the battery packs are capable of fast charging. They can be charged up to 80 percent in about 57 minutes using a DC fast charger. It is also being offered with hill start and descent assist, TPMS, automatic climate control along with multi-mode regen feature.
Many charging options are available
Tata Tiago has become India’s first hatchback premium electric car in the EV segment. Four charging options have been given in Tiago EV. This includes 15A socket, 3.2 kW AC charger, 7.2 kW AC charger and DC fast charger options. Tata has launched the cheapest electric car Tiago EV in 7 variants. It will come with different battery and charging options. The company has said that the time, date as well as the variant and color chosen will decide the date of delivery of the Tiago Electric.
