TCS New Update: Effect of ending work from home, Women employees resign on a large scale in TCS

Women employees in TCS have started resigning in a big way. During the Corona epidemic, TCS allowed its employees to work from home. However, now the company believes that the situation has become almost normal, in which case the employees should return to office.

A big problem has arisen in front of IT sector giant Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS ). In fact, after the end of the work from home facility in the company, many women employees have made up their mind to leave the job. These women employees have started resigning in a big way. During the Corona epidemic, TCS allowed its employees to work from home. However, now the company believes that the situation has become almost normal, in which case the employees should return to the office. Recently the company had asked its employees to report to the office immediately.

TCS is known for providing many employment opportunities to women. The company has so far been emphasizing on gender diversity in the workforce. The company claims that women employees are resigning on a large scale due to the abolition of the facility of work from home.

What did the company say?

According to Milind Lakkad, Head of Human Resources, TCS, there have been more resignations of women employees after the company stopped allowing employees to work from home. Lakkar said that although there could be other reasons, this is the first reason. He further stressed that the resignation of women employees is not happening due to any kind of discrimination. He said that generally women in TCS resign less than men. However, now the number of women resigning outnumbers men.

Total 6,00,000 employees in TCS

TCS employs over 6,00,000 people out of which 35 per cent are women. About three-fourth of the top positions in the company are women. Explain that in the last financial year, the number of employees of TCS decreased by more than 20%. Every employee is facing a difficult situation. The world is reportedly heading towards a global recession, in which case many companies have also laid off.

The work from home facility has received a lot of positive feedback from the employees. In any company where this facility was abolished, employees have resigned on a large scale. Work from home is now being preferred not only in India but everywhere in the world. According to a survey conducted in the United States, 25 percent of employees chose the option of never returning to the office.
