Indians will get visa exemption in Thailand till November 11
Thailand’s Cabinet has approved a plan to extend the visa exemption for tourists from India and Taiwan by six months. Most South Asian countries want to increase the number of foreign tourists to support their sluggish economy. Keeping this in mind, the Government of Thailand has taken this step. Tourists from India and Taiwan will be able to enter Thailand without a visa until November 11 after the current relaxations expire on Friday, Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin said after a cabinet meeting. According to the rules, travelers can stay here only for a maximum of 30 days at a time.
Got leave from November last year
After the success of the exemption given in November last year, it has been decided to waive visa fees again. Indian and Taiwanese tourists can generally stay in Thailand for up to 15 days under visa-on-arrival. Whereas if you apply online in advance then you can stay for 30 days. Thailand has given exemption to the citizens of the country from which most of the tourists come. According to Thailand Tourism, 1.20 crore foreign tourists came to Thailand in the first 4 months of the year 2024. This is 39 percent more than the same period last year.
