The rifle is named Baby TAR. Shortly before, the Indian Army demonstrated a 9X19 millimeter carbine. After this weapon comes Indian Army and security forces can use it accurately in close battles.
Baby Tar is the full name of Baby Trichy Assault Rifle. Currently its unofficial trials are going on with the Indian Army. Trichy Ordnance Factory has pulled out dozens of prototypes in the lockdown imposed during the Corona epidemic. It also has some older versions.
It currently has three prototypes. Every prototype has fired 2000 bullets so far. That is, its firing capability is very good. AK-47 bullets can be added to Baby TAR. The weight of this rifle is 2.7 kg without bullets. It is one kilogram lighter than the AK-47. It is a monoblock receiver. Its lower parts are made of shockproof polymer.
