Through a quick century in the T20 match, this player gave his team a spectacular victory in the title match.

After the Indian Premier League, the players of the world who are eager to play in the T20 league are named Big Bash League. Australia’s T20 League Big Bash brought many players out of the darkness of oblivion to the glowing world. One of these names is also of Jake Weaterald. Jake is the same batsman who made the team the champion by hitting a strong century in the title match in the Big Bash season of 2018. But after that this star went into the world of depression and for a short time got away from cricket. This young Australian player, Jake Vedrald, is being mentioned today because his match-winning century in the final of the Big Bash League was played on this day two years ago.

The final of the 2018 season of the Big Bash League was played on 4 February between the Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes. Adelaide strikers scored 202 runs for 2 wickets while batting first. Opener Jake Vedrald for the team scored 115 runs off just 70 balls. In this, he also hit 9 fours and eight sixes. That is, this batsman scored 84 runs in only 17 balls with the help of fours and sixes. Apart from Jake, captain Travis Head contributed an unbeaten 44 off 29 balls. In response, Hobart’s team could only score 177 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs and Adelaide’s team won the match by 25 runs to become champions.

Jake did wonders step by step

But the most difficult time of Jake Vedrald’s life came in the year 2020. This year he went into depression. He even made a short distance from cricket in October 2020 citing mental health. It is expected that he will soon be fully fit and return to the field. However, Jake is considered a player who specializes in creating history. Jake, who debuted in the 2015 Sheffield Shield tournament, hit half-centuries in both innings of the final. He also scored an innings of 58 runs off 83 balls in his first class debut. At the age of 25, Jake became Australia’s highest run-scorer in domestic cricket in all three formats, ODI and T20. He was selected as the runner-up for the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year award in 2017. Jake took the wicket of Aaron Finch in his first over bowled in first-class cricket.
