If you have not yet linked your Aadhaar Card to the mobile number, now you can do this work online at home, as well as by going to the Aadhaar center. How to link to existing mobile number
Online method:
1. For this, first go to the website of the telecom operator.
2. Now enter the mobile phone number to be linked to Aadhaar.
3. After this, an OTP will appear on the number you have entered. Enter the OTP and click on the submit button.
4. Now enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number. After this, a message will be sent by the telecom operator to the OTP generation.
5. You will then receive a consent message associated with the e-KYC detail.
6. Now you have to accept all the terms and conditions and enter the OTP generated by the telecom company.
7. After this, you will get a confirmation message about the re-verification of Aadhaar and phone number.
Offline method:
1. Take a ‘self-attested copy’ of your Aadhar card and go to your telecom operator’s outlet.
2. Give your mobile phone number.
3. The store executive will send a one-time password (OTP) to the registered phone number.
4. Give executive OTP for verification.
5. After this, the executive will ask for your fingerprint.
6. After this you will get a confirmation SMS from your operator.
7. To complete the process of e-KYC, write ‘Y’ and reply to the message.
How to link new mobile number
>> When you buy a new SIM card from a mobile phone shop, you have to give Aadhaar to provide proof of identity and address.
>> After this the operator will scan your fingerprint and verify your Aadhaar.
>> The new SIM card will be issued to you only when the verification process is complete. After this, your SIM card becomes active in about an hour.
