Banks are going to remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, in most of the states of the country. Banks will remain closed in West Bengal, Odisha and Tripura on January 23. Thursday is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti and Veer Surendra Sai Jayanti, due to which banks will remain closed.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary is celebrated every year on 23 January as Parakram Diwas. He played a revolutionary role in the freedom struggle by establishing the Azad Hind Fauj. His slogan ‘Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe azadi dunga’ became a source of inspiration for the youth.
