TMKOC: Dilip Joshi reduced 16 kg weight in one and a half month, this exercise in just 45 minutes

Dilip Joshi has beautifully portrayed each of his characters on the screen. Today, of course, he is known in Jethalal’s room, but before that he has spent a long way in the film world.

New Delhi: Actor Dilip Joshi, who became a household name after playing the character of Jethalal in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, has spent a long time in the film industry. He brought many excellent roles on the screen, but he was especially liked as Jethalal. Now Dileep has narrated an interesting anecdote related to his career, in which he had to lose a lot of weight for a role.

The look was changed for this film

Dilip Joshi told in an interview, ‘I had done a Gujarati film. Its title was ‘Hun Hunshi Hunshilal’. It was a political satire type film. For this I had to reduce my weight. At that time I used to do a job as well as was also preparing for my role in the film.

Used to do this work for 45 minutes

Dilip further said, ‘I am a lifelong member of a swimming club on Marine Drive. I would return from office, park my scooter, change clothes and jog the entire Marive Drive stretch for 45 minutes. In a month and a half, I reduced about 16 kgs just like that. I love walking in light rain and watching the sunset.

That’s why Dilip Joshi stays away from social media

Dilip Joshi also gave the reason for staying away from social media during this period. He said, ‘It takes a lot of time. This is a good platform, but I don’t get time. People also misuse this platform. Many times even rumors of my leaving the show keep flying, but it takes a lot of energy.

This is how Dilip Joshi got the role

Dilip Joshi also recalled his audition days during this interview. He told that Asit Kumar Modi, the producer of ‘Taarak Mehta’, had given him the option of playing the role of Champaklal or Jethalal. Dilip told him, ‘I had read the comic and felt that I would not match as Champaklal and hence I played the character of Jethalal. I will always be grateful to Asit for considering my name in this show.
