Mumbai Local Train: Mumbaikars may have to face big problems for the next 10 days. The speed of local trains, considered the lifeline of Mumbai, is going to be slowed down till November 5. Many local trains have been canceled for the construction of the sixth line between Khar and Goregaon railway stations. Due to this work of Western Railways, more than 2500 sub-urban trains will be canceled from October 27.

Western Railways said in a statement that it is on its mission to expeditiously complete the work of the sixth line between Khar and Goregaon stations on the Mumbai suburban section. The construction of 8.8 km long additional line is going on at a fast pace. This project will benefit the passengers, especially in the Mumbai suburban section and will help in improving punctuality as well as increasing additional train services in the near future.

According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railways, the block continues from October 7, 2023.
