The Chief Minister said that the tolls which have been made free include Pehowa-Patiala Highway.
According to the information, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, taking an important decision to provide toll free facility to the people of the state, has today announced to make 8 more toll plazas free for the people. These also include 7 toll plazas operated by the Public Works Department.
Giving information about this to the journalists in Chandigarh on Thursday, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced the closure of toll plazas. The Chief Minister said that the government has taken this big strategic step to provide relief to the general public. He said, this decision will save the public Rs 22.48 crore annually.
These toll plazas are closed
These toll plazas include Teokad toll plaza on State Highway-19 up to Pehowa-Patiala Punjab border in Kurukshetra district, three toll plazas at Saundh, Charoda and Pathreddy road on Hodal Nuh-Patoda Pataudi road, Rai-Nahara-Barota and Bamnoli. Toll Plaza on Bahadurgarh Road, Sunhera Toll Plaza up to Punhana-Jurhera Rajasthan border and Bandhwadi, Crasher Zone, Pakhal, Nurera Toll Plaza on Faridabad and Ballabhgarh Sohna Road. Apart from this, Alipur Tigra and Biwar toll plazas on Firozpur Jhirka Biwar road will also be closed.
