But now if you are going to Uttar Pradesh with your car. So you will get a chance to travel for free. Actually, Maha Kumbh is to be organized in Allahabad in January next year. And in view of this, the Uttar Pradesh government has joined hands with the National Highway Authority of India.

To provide convenience to the devotees and to enable them to travel to Kumbh Mela without any hassle, it has announced to make many toll plazas toll free. That is, the devotees who will come to Maha Kumbh in their vehicles will not have to pay toll tax. Know which toll plazas are included in this. And from whom toll tax will be taken even after the exemption.

Toll free at these seven toll plazas

The Uttar Pradesh government has made toll tax free at all toll plazas entering Prayagraj to avoid inconvenience to travelers during the Maha Kumbh. The administration will not charge toll from the vehicles of devotees at Umapur toll plaza on Chitrakoot highway, Mauaima toll on Ayodhya highway, Andhiyari toll on Lucknow highway, Mungari toll on Mirzapur road, Handia toll on Varanasi road, Kokhraj toll on Kanpur road for 45 days during the Maha Kumbh. They will be given free entry for the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.

Toll will be charged from heavy vehicles

Although the Uttar Pradesh government has made toll free for the vehicles of devotees coming to Maha Kumbh. But during this time toll tax will be charged from heavy vehicles and commercial vehicles. That is, vehicles which are loaded with iron rods, sand, cement or any kind of electrical goods or electronic goods.

Toll tax will be collected from those vehicles. However, toll tax will not be collected from any type of jeep or car, whether private or commercial. The exemption given by the government will continue till the entire Maha Kumbh. Let us tell you that when Kumbh was organized in the year 2019, toll tax was made free even then.
