Toll fee may have to be paid on Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram by the end of this month. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has prepared a satellite-based toll plaza on this expressway. Information regarding the installation of the toll plaza has been sent to the Ministry of Transport.

Now it is being decided in the ministry that how much fee will be charged per kilometer from this toll plaza. According to official sources, the toll tax fee will be decided by the end of this month. After this, toll fee will be charged from the drivers on this highway on a per kilometer basis. This 28 kilometer long expressway is being built at a cost of about nine thousand crore rupees.

The part of the expressway in Gurugram is about 18.9 km. NHAI has installed a toll plaza near Chauma village in Gurugram on the Delhi-Gurugram border. This toll plaza has 23 lanes. Currently, about 20 thousand vehicles are leaving from Gurugram for Dwarka in Delhi every day. An NHAI official said that a toll plaza has been installed on the Delhi-Gurugram border on the Dwarka Expressway. The work of installing signals is in the final stage.

The Transport Ministry has been informed about the installation of the toll plaza. A plan is being prepared in the Transport Ministry regarding the toll fee. On this basis, toll fee will soon be charged on a per kilometer basis.

The Gurugram part was opened in February

The Gurugram part of this expressway was opened in February this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it. This expressway is being built at a cost of about Rs 9000 crore. The speed of vehicles on this expressway is 100 kilometers per hour.

CCTV cameras will be installed

NHAI plans to install CCTV cameras on this entire expressway. After the installation of CCTV cameras, if any vehicle drives at a speed of more than 100 kmph, then an online challan will be issued. The work is expected to start soon.
