Toll Tax Hike: Toll on NH-9, Meerut Expressway and Eastern Peripheral has become expensive, how much money will have to be paid now

Toll Tax Hike: With the start of the new financial year on April 1, many things are going to change. Along with this, the journey of those traveling by car on Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Eastern Peripheral and NH-9 is going to be expensive. Yes, the toll rate will increase on all three from 12 midnight on March 31. After the recent decision to increase the toll, the one-way toll from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut by car and jeep has increased from Rs 165 to Rs 170. At the same time, the one-way toll of light commercial vehicle bus has been made Rs 275 and the new toll rate of truck has been made Rs 580. In June 2024 also, the toll tax rate was increased by NHAI.

Toll rates of all categories of vehicles have been increased

Apart from this, at Chhijarsi toll plaza of NH-9, now you will have to pay Rs 175 for a car instead of Rs 170 earlier. Whereas light commercial vehicles will have to pay Rs 280 and Rs 590 for buses and trucks. Toll rates of all categories of vehicles have also been increased on Eastern Peripheral. This means that you will have to pay more money than before to travel on highways and expressways around Delhi. A notification to increase the toll rates has been issued by NHAI.

NHAI issued notification

According to the notification of NHAI, the toll rate of goods carrying vehicles having more than seven axles has been increased by the maximum of Rs 590. Apart from this, the toll of other category vehicles has also been increased. At Chhijarsi toll plaza of NH-9, the toll for cars and jeeps will now have to be paid five rupees more than before. On Meerut Expressway also, from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut, a one-way toll of a car will have to be paid Rs 170. Till March 31, a toll of Rs 165 will be charged on it. The toll from Ghaziabad to Meerut will be Rs 75, it is currently charged at Rs 70.

How much toll will be charged from where?

Apart from this, the one-way toll for car/jeep from Indirapuram to Meerut has increased to Rs 115. Rs 175 will have to be paid for going and coming. Light commercial vehicles will have to pay Rs 185 for one way and Rs 280 for both ways. For going from Dundahaeda to Meerut, the one-way toll for a car will be Rs 90 and the toll for both ways will be Rs 140. The one-way toll from Dasna to Meerut will be Rs 75 and the two-way toll will be Rs 115.

For Dasna to Meerut, light commercial vehicles will have to pay Rs 125 for one side and Rs 185 for both sides. From Rasulpur Sikrod to Meerut, the fare will be Rs 55 for one side and Rs 85 for both sides. A large number of vehicles pass through these expressways and highways daily. The toll of NH-9 is at Chhijarsi in Hapur district. Here, vehicles coming towards Lucknow, Moradabad, Bareilly, Rampur, Hapur and Gajraula come from Ghaziabad. On the other hand, vehicles from Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad go towards Meerut and Dehradun through Meerut Expressway.
