Toll Tax Rates: You may have to pay more toll tax on Delhi-Meerut Expressway and NH-9 from June 3, know the rates

Now Ghaziabad residents may have to pay up to 5 percent more toll for traveling on Delhi Meerut Expressway and towards Chhijarsi. Although the toll is increased every year at the beginning of the financial year, this time it was stopped due to the Lok Sabha elections.

Toll Tax Rates: People of Ghaziabad may be hit by higher toll tax. People traveling on Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) and Hapur via Chhijarsi may have to pay 5 percent more toll from June 3. Toll increases like this at the beginning of every financial year, but this time it was put on hold due to the Lok Sabha elections. Till now, people traveling by car from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut had to pay Rs 160 toll. Now there are plans to increase it to Rs 165. While going from Delhi to Meerut, if you get down at Bhojpur, you will have to pay Rs 140 toll and if you get down at Rasulpur Sikrod, you will have to pay Rs 110 toll. Similarly, toll rates can be increased according to light commercial, bus-truck. At the same time, people going towards Hapur from NH-9 will be charged Rs 170 instead of Rs 165 at Chhijarsi toll. Apart from this, tolls other than Eastern Peripheral Expressway may also increase by five percent from June 3.

If you come from Sarai Kale Khan to Dasna via DME, then you do not have to pay any toll, but as soon as you move from Dasna towards Meerut, the toll meter starts. NHAI Project Director Dheeraj Singh said that there is a possibility of increase in toll from June 3. No order has come yet.
