Kashi toll in-charge Diwakar Yadav said that NHAI had sent a proposal to increase the toll fee on Delhi-Meerut Expressway by 5 to 10 percent from April 1. Due to the election code of conduct, this increase has not been approved. At present the toll fee on this expressway is Rs 2.19 per kilometer.
He said that the revised toll rates were proposed by the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of NHAI on March 25. The toll tax limit was increased from 10 to 15 percent in 2022. Due to which the tariff fee for all types of cars plying on national highways was increased by Rs 10 to Rs 60.
