Top-5 Small Cap Funds: Small cap funds remained the main center of attraction for investors in the year 2023. Thousands of crores of rupees have been invested in these funds every month and this is expected to continue in future also. According to AMFI data, a total investment of Rs 16997.09 crore came in the equity category, of which small cap funds recorded an inflow of Rs 3857.50 crore.
Inflow details of Small Cap Funds in 2023
Talking about the overall performance of smallcap funds in the year 2023, a total investment of Rs 52,490.69 crore came in Equity Funds in the October-December quarter, in which the share of smallcap funds was Rs 12,051.87 crore. 41,962.48 crore in equity category and 11,114.72 in smallcap funds in the July-September quarter. In the April-June quarter, there was an inflow of Rs 10,936.70 crore in smallcap funds and Rs 18,358.08 crore in equity. In the January-March quarter, Rs 48,766.29 crore came into equity and Rs 6,932.19 crore came into smallcap funds.
Inflow of Rs 1.61 lakh crore in Equity Funds in 2023
Overall, there was a total inflow of Rs 1,61,576 crore in the equity category in the calendar year 2023. The share of Small Cap Funds in this was Rs 41,033 crore. This means that one fourth of the money in the equity category came only into small cap mutual funds. In this calendar year, a jump of more than 45 percent was recorded in the Nifty Smallcap index.
