Traffic advisory issued in Delhi before Diwali, avoid going through these routes; Metro also affected

Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory for the general public regarding the upcoming festivals. This advisory has been issued regarding Dhanteras and Diwali. Know here which roads will be open on Dhanteras and Diwali?

Before Diwali and Dhanteras, a huge crowd is being seen in the markets for shopping. People are reaching many places in Delhi for shopping. In view of this, traffic advisory has been issued. Before Diwali, there is a huge crowd especially around shopping malls and roadside shops. The traffic advisory states that areas of Chandni Chowk, Khari Baoli, Connaught Place, Karol Bagh, Sarojini Market, Sadar Bazaar, Central Market Lajpat Nagar will be affected. Apart from this, metro stations will also be affected.

  • Chandni Chowk
  • Rajeev Chowk
  • Karol Bagh
  • AIIMS and Jor Bagh
  • Lajpat Nagar

Earlier, Noida Police issued a traffic advisory regarding Gautam Buddha Nagar city. This advisory was issued in view of Dhanteras and Diwali. While issuing advisory, Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissionerate informed that on the occasion of Dhanteras, Diwali and Bhaiya Dooj festivals, there will be no traffic in various markets of the city like Atta, Market Sector 27, Indira Market Sector 27, Sector 18, GIP Mall, Garden Galleria Mall, DLF Mall, Traffic arrangements and diversions have been made in Brahmaputra Market Sector 28, Logix Mall City Centre, Hoshiarpur, Shopricks Mall, Sector 37, Botanical Garden, Kisan Chowk, Surajpur, Jagatfarm, Parichowk, Kasba Kasna and Dadri etc. due to traffic jam.

No-parking zones in these areas

According to Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate, Atta Market, Indira Market, Sector 18 Market, DLF Mall, Center Stage Mall, Gurudwara, GIP Mall, Garden Galleria Mall and all the surrounding roads have been made no-parking zones. If any vehicle is found parked in a no-parking zone, it will be towed by a crane and action will be taken as per rules.
