E-challan Rules: Attention petrol refillers! If you do not have this paper, you will be fined a big amount, know the details

PUC Challan: Now challan can be issued not only on the middle of the road but also at the petrol pump. With the help of cameras present in petrol pumps, the incoming and outgoing vehicles will be monitored. The owner of a vehicle whose pollution control certificate is not valid will have to pay a challan of Rs 10,000.

Traffic Challan Update: In India, issuing a challan to someone is not a big deal. Often people are found breaking traffic laws and driving vehicles without necessary documents. Many times the traffic police runs different campaigns to catch such people and impose fines. Recently a new system has been prepared, which will automatically issue challan if your vehicle does not have a valid Pollution Control Certificate (PUC). Through this system, if there is no PUC, a fine of Rs 10,000 will be deducted.

Under this system, many cameras installed in petrol pumps will be used. With the help of these cameras the registration number of the vehicle will be tracked. Both petrol and diesel vehicles will be monitored through this system. After this it will check the PUC i.e. Pollution Control Certificate.

Without PUC, fine of Rs 10 thousand

If you have a valid certificate, there will be no challan on it. But if the validity of the certificate has expired, then the owner of the vehicle will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000, for this a notification will be sent on his mobile. The matter does not end here. Along with being fined, such vehicles can also be blacklisted.

Alert will come on phone

At present, it has not been confirmed whether only manual cameras will be used to start such a system in petrol pumps or AI cameras will be installed for monitoring. Owners of vehicles whose pollution certificate is about to expire will also receive alerts on their phones.

Started in petrol pump of Pune

This method of issuing challan has currently been started in Pune. Similarly, in Kerala also, 726 AI cameras have been setup across the state. These have been installed under the Kerala Project to reduce road accidents. To make this process work automatically, permission was given to AI cameras. It will detect violations and send pictures to the control room. The officers will issue challan after reviewing these photographs.
