Traffic Challan: Now you will get relief from this as soon as the challan is issued, you will not have to go to court

MCD Traffic Challan: Now after your vehicle’s challan is issued, it can be paid immediately and there will be no need to go to court for this.

MCD Traffic Challan: A new initiative has been started by MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi), so that after challan is issued, now you will not have to go to the court. Actually, the challan issued by MCD can now be paid on the spot. The benefit of this will be that people will not have to go to the MCD court. Now, when your traffic challan is issued, you will be given the facility to pay online immediately.

Under this new facility:

Online payment: Immediately after receiving the challan, you can easily pay it through the online portal or mobile app. This will save you from the need to go to the MCD court.

Digital challan: You will get a copy of the challan in digital form, which you can store in your mobile or email.

Dispute resolution: If you feel that the challan has been issued wrongly, then you can register an objection online and get its solution.

Time saving: Instead of going to the court, you can settle the challan sitting at home, which will save both time and energy.

Officials’ activism: The traffic police and the MCD have tried to ensure that this new process provides relief to the people and also improves the efficiency of the administration.

The aim of this new system is to make the process of traffic challan simple and fast for the citizens.

How to pay MCD Traffic Challan earlier?

Earlier the process of paying MCD traffic challan was somewhat complicated and time-consuming. It included the following steps:

Getting a manual challan: When you violated traffic rules, the traffic police officers used to issue you a challan manually. A paper challan was given in it, which contained the details of the violation and the amount of the fine.

Going to court for payment: After the challan was issued, you had to go to the MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) court or the concerned traffic court. There you had to pay the challan. This process was sometimes long, as there were long queues in the court and it took time to settle the matter.

Getting a payment receipt: After making the payment at the court, you were given a receipt, which was kept as proof of payment of the challan. By showing this receipt, you could leave your vehicle or complete any other legal process.

Time consumption: This entire process used to take a lot of time and effort, as you had to visit the court and your other work could also get affected due to the work.

Dispute resolution: If you did not agree with the challan, you had to go to the court to register your objection and resolve it.

Many people were inconvenienced during this process, especially if they had to stand in long queues at the court. To overcome this inconvenience, online payment and quick settlement facilities have now been provided.
