Traffic Challan Rules: Now ₹2000 challan will be deducted even for wearing helmet! Bike and scooter riders should be careful; know the new rules

Traffic Challan Rules: Not wearing a helmet was already included in breaking the traffic rules, but now not wearing the helmet properly has also been included in the traffic rules.

Traffic Challan Rules: Not wearing a helmet was already included in breaking traffic rules, but now not wearing the helmet properly has also been included in the traffic rules. Not only this, the traffic police is also issuing a challan of 1000 to 2000 rupees for this. However, even after knowing this rule, many people do not wear helmets. Or they wear the helmet but make mistakes in wearing it. In such a situation, we are telling you the way to wear the helmet properly, so that you can stay safe and avoid the challan.

How to wear a helmet

It is very important to wear a helmet before driving a two-wheeler or sitting on it. This is necessary so that your head does not get hurt during an accident. In most cases of accidents, people lose their lives due to head injuries. In such a situation, whenever you wear a helmet, make sure that it is fixed properly on your head. Do not forget to wear the strip after wearing the helmet. Many times people use helmets just to avoid challan. They do not wear the strip. Not only this, many people’s helmets do not have a lock for the strip. Or it is broken. In all these situations, you can be challaned.

Now a fine of Rs 2000

The Government of India has amended the Motor Vehicles Act of 1998. Under this, if two-wheeler riders do not wear helmets or do not wear helmets properly, then an immediate fine of up to Rs 2,000 will be imposed. That is, if the bike rider is wearing a helmet but it is open, then a fine of Rs 1,000 will be imposed on him. If you are wearing a helmet but have not tied the strap tightly to the head, then also a fine of Rs 1,000 will be imposed on you. Overall, the helmet will now have to be worn completely properly. If this is not done then you will be fined Rs 2000.

Helmet should have ISI mark

If the helmet does not have BSI (Bureau of Indian Standards ISI), then you can be fined Rs 1,000. That is, you will have to wear only ISI marked helmet while driving a bike or scooter. If this is not done then you will be fined Rs 1000 under section 194D MVA of the Motor Vehicle Act. However, Delhi Police is currently challaning people for Rs 1000.
